Obituary

Darlene Ann Grenell, 80, of Twin Lake, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017. She was born January 31, 1937, in Muskegon the daughter of James and Anna Pothoff.
Darlene worked at Howmet as a core finisher/inspector for many years retiring in the mid-1990s.
Darlene loved animals---especially horses---and taking care of others. She was a caring, energetic, independent go-getter. She will be deeply missed.
Darlene is survived by: her children, Vickie (David) Beals, Cindy Morningstar, Penny (Jack) Smith, Tim Grenell, and Julie Grenell; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother, James Pothoff Jr.; her sister, Gail Baxter; and many wonderful helpers and caretakers.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her sister, Sharon Reed; and her former husband, George Grenell.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service – White Lake Chapel, 413 S. Mears Ave., Whitehall. Interment will follow in Fruitland Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7PM, Friday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society of Muskegon.
