David Shawn Arnold, 41, died Wednesday, April 10, 2024, after a lengthy illness.  He was born October 1, 1982, in Traverse City.

David worked as a finish carpenter and mechanic.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing.  David was successful to form an online support group for troubled others.  David took great pride in helping neighbors and friends by repairing lawn mowers, snowblowers and any other repairs at low or no cost.

David came from a large family, and they meant the world to him.  He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

David is survived by: his Maternal Grandmother Janet Burke; parents, Doug and Dawn Dixon; step father Woody Stafford; siblings, Annette (Ed) Harrison, Cory Wirt Wright Stafford III, Brandon (Kayla) Sarber, Brook Lynn (Sky)Stafford, Megan (Nick) Mclain, Korinna Dixon, and Douglas Dixon Jr;  uncle Richard Arnold; nieces and nephews, Hannalore, Marabelle, Deslynn, Kasen, Athena, Eris, Atlas, Liam, Kaleigh, Siyenna, Tatum, Jase, Drayden, Alydia and Sky Greyewolfe; cousins Adam Arnold Carla & Amanda and numerous foster siblings and additional family members.

David was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather Dale Burke, Aunt Susan (Soupy) and cousin Nicole.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 27th at 3PM at Evergreen Cemetery, Kingsley, with a wake to follow.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to help with funeral expenses.
