IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David Allen
Brow
September 1, 1942 – October 1, 2018
David Allen Brow, 76, of Montague, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 due to complications during surgery. David was born in Muskegon on September 1, 1942 to Elmer and Lucile (Stever) Brow.
David was a long time resident of Muskegon. He attended Muskegon Public Schools and graduated in 1961. After high school, he served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. On June 27, 1970, David married Barbara Bedau and settled in the Lakeside neighborhood where they lived for 34 years. During that time, they were blessed with and raised their daughter, Jennifer. In 2004, David and Barbara built their retirement home in Montague. They celebrated 48 years of marriage this year. During his working career, he worked for Dresser Industries, Muskegon Piston Ring, and Brow Enterprises. As an amateur radio (ham radio) operator since 1958, David was better known as K8KPU. His other hobbies also included fishing, golfing, reading and learning about history, and playing cards with his grandsons. He could often also be found sitting on his porch enjoying nature. Although he was a serious man, he had a compassionate heart and his own unique sense of humor. What he was most proud of in life was his family. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
David is survived by: his wife, Barbara; daughter, Jennifer (James) Pennington; grandchildren, Jack David and Max Aldon; brother, James (Susan) Brow; sister, Barbara Ann Brow (Lynn Crampton); nieces, Kris Collee, Margie (Brow) Steele, Jennifer Dunlap; nephew, Michael Brow; and many cousins.
