IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David James
Goodrich
December 12, 1986 – May 1, 2019
David James Goodrich, 32, of Muskegon, was called to his heavenly home, Wednesday, May 1, 2019, in an automobile accident. He was born December 12, 1986, in Muskegon, the son of Jay and Michelle (Cook) Goodrich. He was the second of their three sons.
David was a graduate of Montague High School, Muskegon Community College, and Grand Valley State University.
On September 8, 2012, while serving as best man at his best friend's wedding, he met a beautiful and talented young woman who played the piano for the ceremony. He pursued her until he caught her, and on October 10, 2015, he and Adrielle Eberly were married.
In November of 2017, they welcomed their first child, Scarlette, and were preparing for the birth of their son in June. David adored his wife and daughter and his passing will leave a great hole in their lives, as well as those of his parents and siblings.
In addition to his wife, children, and parents, David is survived by: his brothers, Chris (Natalie) and "little brother" Eric; in-laws, Sam and Cheri Eberly; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joshua (Stephanie) Eberly, Hunter (Kim) Eberly, Landon (Jessica) Eberly, Laura (Zachary) Jacobs, and Anna, James, Alex, Gabrielle, Joseph and Aaron Eberly; grandparents, David Bayak, Betty Breen, Kathleen Cook, Carol Eberly, Karen Goodrich, and Hale Krueger; nieces, nephews, Eamon, Robert, Tobyn, Austin, Violet, Connor, Archer, Isabella, Makayla, Weston, Caleb, Abigail, Emily, and Faith; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and his church family at White Lake Baptist Church. He will also be missed by his other "brothers", Jordan (Anna) King and Sean (Katelind) Haak.
In addition to his family, David loved Red Wings Hockey, reading fantasy by RA Salvatore and Brent Weeks, and playing soccer and disc golf. One of his and Scarlette's greatest joys was time spent reading to her. However, most importantly, David loved the Lord and knew Jesus Christ as his Savior. It is that knowledge that enables his family to deal with their grief, knowing they will see him again one day and never be parted.
Memorial Contributions may be made to David's family to assist with expenses and to provide for his children's futures. The family would also treasure letters with your memories of David, to spark joy in their hearts as they are reminded of him and to share with his children so that they will know the kind of person their dad was.
Memorial Services will be conducted Sunday, May 5, 2019, at 5:00 PM, at White Lake Baptist Church, 5280 Dowling St, Montague, MI 49437, with Pastor Nathan Sabin officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:30 PM until time of services.
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Services, White Lake Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
