David Bruce Scott, 80, of North Myrtle Beach, died Friday, December 2, 2022, at Seacoast Hospital in Little River, South Carolina.  He was born September 15, 1942, in Northport, the son of John and Georgia (Petersen) Scott.

David was a hardworking truck driver who worked tirelessly to provide for his family.  Along with his children, he was a sports fanatic who loved all sports, especially basketball and football.  He was also a diehard NASCAR fan.  David was a loving and hardworking husband, father, grandfather and friend who, more than anything, cherished time spent with his family.

David is survived by: his son, Rick Scott of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; twin grandchildren, Logan Scott of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Kendra Scott of Traverse City; great-grandchildren, Alexander, Benjamin, and Kayden; siblings, Marvin (Nancy) Scott, Clarence (Nancy) Scott, Linda (Galen) Leighton, Johnny (Brenda) Scott, and Karla (Dale) Schaub.

David was preceded in death by: his wife, Lulabelle Scott; daughter Jacqueline "Jackie" Scott; and brother, Craig Scott.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00, Friday, December 9, 2022, at St. Kateri Tekakwith Church, in Suttons Bay, with Sister Sue Gardner officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Kateri Catholic Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell-Traverse City Chapel, and from 10:00 AM until time of services at the church on Friday.
