David Brian Stout, 47, of Grand Rapids, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at home.  He was born May 31, 1969, in Grand Rapids.

David worked most of his life in food service, from being a server to most recently managing a restaurant. In his spare time, David was an avid University of Michigan fan and enjoyed watching sports. David loved cooking for his family and friends, especially his grilled shish kabobs.  Most of all, David loved watching his children grow up into the wonderful people they have become.

David is survived by: his parents, Earl and Gladys Stout, of Whitehall; his daughter, Caitria; his son, Zachary; his brother, Christopher (Jennifer) Stout of Montague; his nephew, Kyle Stout of Grandville; and his nieces, Catherine (Lane) Olds of Grandville, and Megan Stout of Allendale.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 24, 2017, at Fruitland Evangelical Covenant Church, in Whitehall, with Pastor Carl Franzon officiating.  Interment will be in Oakhurst Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Thursday, from 6-8 PM, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, in Whitehall.

Memorial contributions may be made to Fruitland Evangelical Covenant Church.
