David Thompson, 72, of Whitehall, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017. David was born on October 25, 1944.

David worked as a Machinist/Welder in his early years and also a contractor for the majority of his career. He was blessed with 3 daughters that he loved dearly. David enjoyed fishing, sports and gardening. He was a loving father and grandfather with a great sense of humor.

David is survived by his daughters, Tammie Thompson, Theresa Courser and Melissa DeWolfe; grandchildren, Lance, Krystal, Jessica, Drew, Jared, Mason and Kayla; 7 great-grandchildren; and brother, Lawrence (Joyce) Thompson. He was also survived by his ex-wives Sheila George (Veen), Pamela Sipman, Coretta Thompson, and Valerie Weekley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Doris Thompson.

Memorial services will be conducted at 12:00pm, on September 6, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1725 W. Giles, North Muskegon, MI.  There will be a light luncheon available following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made out to his daughter Theresa Courser to help the family with final expenses. Those contributions can be mailed to the funeral home at 413 S. Mears Ave. Whitehall MI 49461.
