Mr. David Yeager, age 73, of Hart, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015. He was born February 2, 1942, in Marlinton, WV to William and Bertha (Matulis) Yeager. He was graduated from high school and attended one year of college at Michigan State University. On July 3, 1965, David married Lois Seffernick at St. Mary Catholic Church in Jackson, MI; they were married for fifty years. David was a dairy farmer and also sold cemetery memorials and markers as well as owning Yeager Memorial Lettering Service. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a Boy Scout leader for thirty-seven years, Hart Township Clerk, member of the Knights of Columbus 2199 Hart Council, Eucharistic minister at St. Gregory, St. Joseph, St. Vincent parishes, and also Eucharistic minister at Oceana County Medical Care Center.
David is survived by his wife: Lois Yeager of Hart; daughter, Susan (Ronald) Schwarz of Hart, sons, John (Mary) Yeager of Hart, James (Margaret) Yeager of Charlotte, MI, Robert Yeager of Oregon City, OR; seven grandchildren, Michael (Kristina) Yeager, Alyssa (Josh) Juhl, Rachel, Nicholas, Kaitlyn Yeager, Henry Yeager, and Joseph Schwarz; two great-grandchildren, Amielia West and Remington David Yeager, sisters, Betty Root of Hart, and Carolyn Burnham of Winston Salem, NC; brother, William Hull Yeager of Hart; He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Willie Yeager.
The Mass of the Resurrection for Mr. Yeager will be offered Friday, October 2, 2015, at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Weare with Father Phillip Sliwinski officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at King Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Hart with a rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2380 West Jackson Rd., Weare, The family requests that any memorials be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church Bldg.
