Mr. Delmar Carl Kokx, age 87, of Hart, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017, at Tendercare of Ludington.  He was born October 9, 1929, in Hart to Carl and Pauline (Billington) Kokx.  He was employed at Howmet-Alcoa until retiring in 1987. He married the former Mina Stroud in Whitehall on November 23, 1973 and she preceded him in death on December 22, 2014. Del's pastime revolved around horses. He loved horses, harness racing and attending horse pulling competitions. Del also restored several antique horse carriages and horse drawn wagons. Del was a member of the Elbridge Community Church.

Delmar is survived by one daughter: Lynda Bailey of Hart, one son: Edward (Kris) Kokx of Walkerville,   step-son, Steven (Pam) Bullock of Rogers City, MI; step-son, David (Linda) Bullock of Whitehall, MI. step-daughter, Renee (Bradley) Vanderlaan of Hart; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren He was also preceded in death by his parents, brother, Marlin Kokx, grandson, Ross Kokx on May 24, 1980.

The Memorial Service for Mr. Kokx will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Elbridge Community Church with Pastor Dennis Hintz officiating. Interment will be in the Elbridge Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Walkerville Fire and Rescue Department, 121 North East Street, Walkerville, MI 49459.
