Mr. Dennis Emil Olson, age 59, of Walkerville, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012. He was born November 28, 1952, in Detroit, to David I.E. and Cohentha A. (Daly) Olson. Dennis married Karen M. Landry in Caro, Michigan on September 29, 1978. He served in the United States Army after high school. Dennis loved fishing and hunting and fulfilled his dream of having ten acres to live and die upon.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Karen M. (nee Landry) of Walkerville, daughter, Cohentha A. (Sam) Wright of Kentwood; sons, David C. (Laura) Bielby of Ypsilanti, and Dwain J. (Andrea Ford, fiancée) Bielby of Woodhaven; grandsons, Christian, David, and Zachary; sisters, Glenda M. Sharrett of Newberry, Lucinda M. Lawrence of Detroit, and Virginia E. (Paul) Kreider of Raleigh, North Carolina; brothers, David E. (Deborah) Mayfield of Macomb, Anthony L. (Judith) Olson of Keene, New Hampshire, Glenn A. Olson of Detroit, and David G. (Marie) Olson of San Diego, California. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Dennis E. Olson II.

The memorial service for Mr. Olson will be held Saturday, June 23, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the King Funeral Home in Hart with Pastor Mike Simmons officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the family expense fund at the King Funeral Home.
