IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dolores Catherine
Bonner
April 27, 1929 – September 4, 2024
Dolores Catherine Bonner, 95, of Traverse City, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Bay Ridge Assisted Living Center.
Dolores (Dee) was born April 16, 1929 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. She married Daniel Bonner in 1950. Dee was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Traverse City.
Our mom's life was a grand adventure filled with family and friends. Dee and Daniel were committed to sharing the beauty and wonders of North America on our month-long camping trips seeing every state in the continental United States, many provinces of Canada and part of Mexico. Mom was in charge of mapping and meal planning. Prior to departing, dad would announce the upcoming trip highlighting my mom's preparation of the family's "90 picnics" billing it as a part of our adventure. Mom loved to travel, but was less enthusiastic about preparing the 90 picnics!
Dee is survived by her five children, Daniel (Dolores) of Muskegon, MI, Richard (Lachelle) of Traverse City, Kathleen (David) McManus of Traverse City, Mary (Tad) Bonner of Amity, Oregon and Thomas (Kim) of Sarasota, FL; 8 grandchildren, Patrick, Shannon, Jessiah, Evan, Kelly, Stephanie, Daniel and Katie; great grandchildren Sophia, Charlotte, Hunter, Peyton, Addison, Garrett, Gavin and Aurora.
Preceding Dolores in death was her husband Daniel, her parents Robert and Violet Flannery, brothers, Vince, Robert, Ron and great grandson Cedar.
The family wishes to acknowledge the loving, compassionate caregiving Dee received during her years as a resident at Bay Ridge as well as Hospice of Michigan.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
"And may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest." We love you, Mom.
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell-Traverse City Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.
