Mrs. Dolores Eileen De Ruiter, age 83, of Ludington, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015. She was born April 3, 1932, in Hart to Norman Nicholas and Eula Mae (Krauss) Spierenburg. She graduated from Hart High School in the Class of 1950. She married Wilbur C. De Ruiter on November 3, 1973 in Hart and they were married thirty-six years before his passing on September 17, 2010. Dolores was employed as an insurance clerk at the office of Dr. Davis and Dr. Barker. She attended the Wesleyan Church in Hart and will be remembered as a kind, simple woman who had a huge heart. Dolores was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed baking, making Rice Krispie Treats for her family and also attending to her flower gardens.
Dolores is survived by one daughter, Sandi (Joe) Rosse of Hart; three sons, Duane (Cathy) Swihart of New Era, Steve (Gladys) Swihart of Hart, Dan (Kris) Swihart of Hart; several grand and great-grandchildren; one brother: Gerald (Jackie) Spierenburg of Bradenton, FL; two nieces, Jan (Tim) Holme of AZ; Jean (Kevin) Flynn of Grandville, and four nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbur C. De Ruiter; and her sister, Coriane Spierenburg.

The Funeral Service for Mrs. De Ruiter will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at 7:00 pm at King Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Hart with Pastor Bob Abbott officiating. Interment will be in Hart Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at King Funeral Home in Hart. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Crystal Valley Care Fund, P.O.
