Mr. Donald Ralph Ginther, age 80, of Hart, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012. He was born July 13, 1932, in Grandville, Michigan to Ralph and Myrtle (McDonald) Ginther. He married the former Esther A. Jordan on July 31, 1952, in Sparta, Wisconsin. They were married nearly sixty years before she passed away on April 30, 2012. He served in the Army during the Korean War. After retiring from the Army in 1969 he was employed by the Post Office. Mr. Ginther had a great sense of humor in all things.

Donald is survived by three daughters, Terrie (Gary) Gebhart and Denise (Al) Hopkins, all of Hart, and Tammy Parker of Grand Blanc; one son, Michael Ginther of Lansing; one sister, Shirley Kobb of Kalamazoo; twelve grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, two sisters, Dorothy Williams and Betty Ginther, and his step-mother, Ruth Ginther.

Visitation for Mr. Ginther will be held at King Funeral Home in Hart on Saturday, October 27, 2012, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Hart VFW Post 1329, Hart, MI 49420.
