Mr. Donald Arthur Snow, age 86, of Hesperia, (formerly of Walkerville) passed away Friday, December 11, 2015, at Newaygo County Medical Care Facility in Fremont. He was born December 28, 1928, in Muskegon to Van and Helma (Burflaudt) Snow. He graduated from high school and attended Western Michigan University graduating with the class of 1949. Don married Audrey Marie Knowles in 1949; they were married fifty-eight years before her passing on June 7, 2007. Don was a residential builder and also employed with the Coopersville Public Schools. He was a high school teacher of the home construction class. Many students through the years learned from his wisdom and experiences. He also owned the former Snow's General Store in Walkerville. Don and Audrey wintered at their home in Texas. They traveled extensively in the United States, Hawaii being their favorite place. They also traveled to Norway and England. Donald is survived by two daughters, Dianne (Joseph Fitzpatrick) Snow of Coopersville, MI, and Carol Sue (Mark) Lillie of South Bend, IN; one son, Douglas Snow of Coopersville, MI; four grandchildren, Nathan, Christopher, Danielle and Nickolas; five great-grandchildren; one brother: Richard (Joyce) Snow of Sterling Heights, MI; special niece, Donna Roberson of Hesperia, MI; and special friend, Wanda Deur of Fremont, MI; sister-in-law, Judy Snow; and The Knowles sisters-in-law, Joanne, Rose, Linda, Pat, Peggy, and Vicki. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Audrey, and two brothers, Elwin and Robert Snow.

A graveside service for Mr. Snow will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Colfax Township Cemetery in Walkerville with Pastor Theresa Fairbanks officiating. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Walkerville Area Fire & Rescue, PO Box 5, Walkerville, MI 49459.
