Mr. Donald Joel Warner, age 64, of Pentwater, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Mercy Health Partners Hackley Campus in Muskegon.  He was born January 21, 1953, in Lansing, Michigan.  He was employed at Central Michigan University prior to being employed as an office manager for several medical practices in Michigan. He married Lauretta "Joan "Petersen in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan on January 15, 1994. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.

Don loved fishing and traveling. Don and Joan had traveled to all fifty states and to the countries of Honduras, Belize, Mexico, France, Belgium and Holland. He was a man of great faith and a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Don and Joan were nearly inseparable, always being together. Don and Joan were faithful members of Faith Christian Fellowship in Hart.

Don is survived by his wife: Lauretta "Joan" Warner; five sons: Shaun (Jennifer) Warner of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Greg Adams of Lansing, MI, Gordon Adams of Lansing, MI, Lewis (Shirley) Kokx of Howard City and Lawrence (Heather) Kokx of LaPeer, MI; one sister: Bonnie Davis of TX and one brother: Michael (Jane) Griffith of Grand Rapids, MI;   He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronald Griffith.

The Funeral Service for Mr. Warner will be Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 2:00 pm at King Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Hart with the Rev. Mark M. Aspy officiating. Interment will be in the Pentwater Township Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to the service at King Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
