Donna May Hughes, 90, of Whitehall, went to her eternal home on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born May 31, 1934, the daughter of John and Edith (Nelson) Ehlke.

Donna married William Siedenstrang on January 30, 1952, and they were married for 57 years before he passed away in November 2009.  Donna married Wayne Hughes in 2011, and they had 11 years together before he passed away in March of 2022.

Donna worked as a bus driver for Whitehall Public Schools for many years and enjoyed transporting the children. She was a long time member of St. James Lutheran Church in Montague. Donna was a very social person, she loved God, and she loved people!  She touched many lives during her 90 years in the White Lake Area and will be greatly missed.

Donna enjoyed reading, movies, talking with people, and gathering with family and friends.

Donna is survived by: her two sons, Bill (Kathleen) Siedenstrang and Jeff Siedenstrang; four daughters, Susan (Dave) Crider, Marcia (Andy) Chen, Judy (Dave) Farrin, and Lori (Denny) Vandervest; two step- sons, Dan (Debbie) Hughes and Michael Hughes; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by: both husbands; her parents; siblings; son-in-law, Patrick Landis; granddaughter, Teraha Landis; and great-granddaughter, Chloey Stoudt.

Celebration services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 22, 2024, at St. James Lutheran Church, 8945 Stebbins St, Montague, MI 49437, with visitation taking place at 10:00 AM until time of service at the church. The family will receive family and friends for visitation from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, 413 South Mears Avenue, Whitehall, MI 49461.

Memorial gifts can be made to St. James Lutheran Church or Harbor Hospice.
