Mrs. Doris M. Culler, age 81 of Mears, died Monday, March 1, 2010. She was born in Hart on October 6, 1928 to Mavoric and Bessie (Wright) Farmer and had been a lifetime resident. On June 25, 1947 in Mears, she married J.H. (Walt) Culler. Mrs. Culler was a homemaker and was the former secretary at the West Golden Wesleyan Church. She was a 1947 graduate of Hart High School. Mrs. Culler was involved with the Wilson Ladies Aid Group and the TOPS group. Her interests included bird watching and participating in the Relay for Life and Alzheimer's walk each year. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Culler is survived by her children, Steve Culler, Nancy (Don) Vega of Mears, Scott (Pam) Culler of Shelby; 7 grandchildren, Malissa Vega, Chris (Stephanie) Vega, Melanie Coon, Jason Culler, Tyler (Amanda) Culler, Chaunnee (Paul) Gilbert, Jeff Hanson; 9 great grandchildren, R.J. Coon, Elizabeth Vega, James Vega, Beka Trejo, Seth Culler, Jarrod Gilbert, Morgan Gilbert, Cameron Hanson, Morgan Hanson; 2 sisters, Ellener Sepulveda of Kenosha, WI, Peg (Gene) Engweiler of Mears. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Walt, daughter Janet Hanson, great grandson Jacob Coon, Brother Richard Farmer, step-mother Dorothy Farmer. The Memorial Service for Mrs. Culler will be held Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. from the West Golden Wesleyan Church with Pastor Ron Rickard officiating. Interment will be in the Mears Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
