Dorothy (Brocker) Martin, 76, of Lapeer, Michigan, and most recently living in Whitehall, passed away after battling cancer on November 28, 2024, surrounded by family members.

Dorothy was born January 20, 1948, in Goodrich, Michigan, the daughter of Carrol and Katherine (Stilwell) Brocker.

Dorothy graduated from Lapeer High School in 1966. She worked at a number of jobs in her hometown, including Ude Loans, NuVision, and the Hair Loft. Shortly after graduating, Dorothy married her high school sweetheart, Robert Martin, in Lapeer, Michigan, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, on September 17, 1966.  Dorothy and Robert were married for 58 years. They enjoyed spending time with friends in Haines City, Florida, going on road trips throughout Michigan (especially the sunrise side), and having quiet lunches by the lake.

Dorothy attended Hunters Creek Community Church while living in Lapeer and attended Evangelical Covenant Church once moving to Whitehall. Dorothy greatly appreciated all the outreach and love she received from her church communities.

Remaining to cherish Dorothy's memory are husband, Robert Martin; children, Kyle (Debbie) Martin and Kari Dailey; grandchildren, Hunter Dailey, Noah Dailey, Emily Martin, Katherine Martin, and Kyleigh Martin; brothers, Jerry (Mary Alice Collins) Brocker and Darrell (Vickie) Brocker; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Evangelical Covenant Church, 900 Warner St, Whitehall, MI 49461, with a luncheon to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Hunters Creek Community Church, in Lapeer, or Evangelical Community Church, in Whitehall.
