IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dorothy Joan
Pearsall
January 13, 1936 – January 30, 2025
Dorothy Joan Pearsall, 89, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025. She was born in Detroit, MI, daughter of the late Sylvia and John Agodorny.
Dorothy worked as a bookkeeper at Stroh's Brewery in Detroit. She met and married the love of her life, Roy Pearsall, her "rock", in 1955 and moved to Union Lake where they raised their family. After retirement, they traveled to Florida in the winters and spent summers at their cabin in the woods in Atlanta, MI, where they enjoyed spending time together and with family. After losing her husband in 2002, Dorothy moved to Elk Rapids, MI, which quickly became her home.
Dorothy was a caring Mother to Linda (late Doug) Cash, Karen (Charlie) Corbett, Roy (Michele) Pearsall, and Lisa (Mark) Strine. She was a loving grandmother to Jeremy (Arrissa), Jon (Pete), Stacy (Ben), Amber, Chelsey (Ken), Jen (Dustin), Nick (Mary), Chris (Kailey), and Zack. She was a proud great grandmother to Lily, Kaylee, Aubree, Hadley, and Adelaide.
Dorothy leaves behind many family members and friends who will miss her greatly. She will live on through her family through stuffed cabbage dinners, over puzzles and card games, while rolling out pierogi dough, when singing along to an Elvis song, and over a cold beer (with a sprinkle of salt). She will be remembered by her big smile, warm hugs, kind heart, and unwavering love.
Service will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly MI on date tbd
