Mrs. Dorothy A. Salazar, age 71, of Hart, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011. She was born July 1, 1940, in Flint to Stillman and Bernice (Barrett) Crawford. She was retired from Gray & Company
and had attended St. Gregory Catholic Church. Dorothy loved sewing, cooking, and playing Bingo. An animal lover, her grandchildren were her life and her family was important to her.
Dorothy is survived by five daughters, Juanita (Richard) McCann of Hart, Donna (JR) Bartlett of IL, Kay Brown of Flint, Kim Ann (Steven) Iteen of Ludington, and Brenda (Dave) Padilla of Hart; three sons, Eugene Salazar of Gillette, WY, Victor (Tamara) Salazar of Hart, and Terry Spivey of OH; two sisters, Denice Cram of Hart, Deanna (Dan) Lenon of Shelby; and two brothers, Daniel (Deb) Crawford of Hart and Duane (Jeanne) Crawford of OR ; and her beloved dogs and cats. She also has 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Jason Crawford Coyle in 1989, four brothers, Douglas, Darlle, Dillard, and Dean Crawford, and one sister, Donna Spivey.
Funeral services for Mrs. Salazar will be Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at 11:00 am at King Funeral Home in Hart with Pastor Kathy Dain officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at King Funeral Home. Interment will be in Hart Cemetery. Any memorials may be directed to the family for funeral expense.
