Mrs. Dorothy M. Schiller-Drewes, age 85 of Shelby, died Saturday, September 20, 2008. She was born in Whitehall on January 5, 1923. Dorothy received her education from the Whitehall Public Schools and was a member of the Class of 1941. She married Frank Schiller on September 18, 1942 and he preceded her in death on February 21, 1980, she then married Wesley Drewes on September 23, 1983 and he also preceded her in death on March 12, 1988. Mrs. Schiller-Drewes was a member of the Hart Congregational United Church of Christ, the Red Hat Society and the St. Petersburg, FL Garden Club. She was also active at the Oceana County Council on Aging. Dorothy is survived by her children, Mrs. Pamela (Royce) Kroll of Whitehall and Lynn (Rhonda) Schiller of Hart; grandchildren, Mark (Brianne) Moschke, Michelle (Troy) Caris, Ryan Kroll, Ryan (Angela) Schiller, Michael (Tami) Schiller; great grandchildren, Kaylynne, Lauren, Addison, Michael, Renleigh, Landyn, Candenn; half brother, Marvin Curran of California. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her sister, Maxine West. The Funeral Service for Dorothy will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. from the Hart Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor Lorraine Boucon officiating. Interment in the Hart Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to the Oceana County Council on Aging or to the Hart Congregational United Church of Christ.
