Duanne "Dewey" Albright passed away at his home on August 29, 2021, at age 64. He was born to Duanne and Jantina Albright on January 27, 1957, in Three Rivers, Michigan. He graduated from Mendon High School in 1975. Duanne married his wife, Joy Albright (Hoopfer), whom he absolutely adored, on Oct 26,1990. They made their home together in Elk Rapids, MI where they have resided for over 30 years.

Duanne was known by many as an extremely hard worker and had recently retired after spending over 30 years in the plumbing trade; but he also knew how to make time for fun as he enjoyed golf, fishing, baking and canning his favorite foods, and dropping by to share some with friends. More than anything, he loved to go camping with his wife, spending countless hours combing the beaches of Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. Duanne's unique expressions, personal nicknames, and teasing manner made his friends and family love him even more.

Also, as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, his faith was important to him and he found great joy in sharing God's promise of an earthly paradise soon to come. His favorite scripture to share with others was 2 Peter 3:13.

Duanne is survived by his wife Joy, whom he loved and cherished, as well as her two children and their spouses, TJ (Lacy) McManus and Theresa (Juan) Martinez, all of whom he loved as his own; his siblings, Darlene Schmidt, Dianne Hemming, and Jerry Albright as well as his many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Duanne, and his mother, Jantina.
