Edith Caroline (Lynn) Smith-Kokx, 99, of Pentwater, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021. She was born December 13, 1921, in Pentwater, the daughter of Everett and Carrie (Freeland) Lynn.

During the war, Edith worked at Continental Motors in Muskegon.  She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and playing shuffleboard.

Edith is survived by: her children, Dennis (Mary Ann) Smith and Lynne Audaine Luskin; six grandsons, Norman Smith, Michael Smith, David Smith, Brian Luskin, Todd Luskin, and Paul (Jenny) Luskin; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; six sisters; and two brothers.

On March 2, 1942, Edith married Cecil Smith, and following his passing in December of 1988, she married Theodore Kokx in 2001; Theodore preceded her in death in 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Carrie Lynn.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, 2370 North 72 ^nd Avenue, Hart, MI 49420, with Rev. Bill Haggard officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Friday, June 25, 2021, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Elbridge Township Cemetery.
