Edward William Straley, affectionately known to his friends and family as Eddie, 70, of Twin Lake, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025, at his home, surrounded by family. He was born November 9, 1954, in Ithica, New York, the son of Daniel and Christine (Doane) Straley.

Eddie was a graduate of Muskegon High School where he excelled on the diving and football teams. He went on to become a skilled machinist, having been employed with Grand Haven Brass for many years, and retiring from Supreme Machined Products Co. in Spring Lake.

Eddie loved tinkering on his truck, and was especially fond of hunting. He enjoyed whitetail deer hunting in the peaceful outdoors, and participated in both bow and rifle seasons, usually accompanied by his hunting buddies, Antonio, Dave, Travis, and Jake.

On June 13, 1998, Eddie married the love of his life, Debra Ann Straley, and she survives him along with: children, Angelia McPheron, Joy (Scott) Bowles, Francisca Suarez, and Travis (Janet) Suarez; grandchildren, Candace (Christian) Smith, Brett (Kylee) McPheron, Antonio (Ariel) Suarez Walker, Alyse McPheron, Julian Locke, Anissa (Nate Schoonover) Mullins, and Dustin Johnson; great-grandchildren, Audrey Bowles, Jorgia Bowles, Zaide Bowles, Braxton Smith, Roselynn Suarez Walker, Kenzie Smith, Xavier Suarez Walker, and Nolan Jackson; siblings, William (Kim) Straley, David (Darlene) Straley, and Sharon (Paul) Sikkenga; as well as Aunt Sis Crumb; cousins, Paul Crumb and John Crumb; sister-in-law, Mary Beld; and brother-in-law, Tim (Hester) Kieft.

Eddie was preceded in death by: his parents, Daniel and Christine Straley; siblings, Mike Straley, Patricia Straley, and Fred Straley; and best friend, Robert Glocksen.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Christ Church, 1910 Ruddiman Drive, North Muskegon, MI 49445. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service.
