Eiric Baardsen, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away June 9, 2024, at the age of 47. Born on October 5, 1976, in Lafayette, LA, to Einar Baardsen and Donna (Asbury) Baardsen, Eiric was a citizen of both the United States and Norway, with a deep love for his Norwegian heritage and roots. He spent much of his childhood in the US and Norway, and developed a strong connection to both countries and their cultures.

A veteran of the US Navy, Eiric served his country with pride and distinction. After his time in the military, he went on to pursue his passion for business, earning two degrees in business administration and building a successful career as an entrepreneur. He was always drawn to new opportunities and adventures, and his love of travel took him to many exciting destinations around the world. He was a true Renaissance man, with a wide range of interests and passions that brought him joy and fulfillment.

Eiric's hobbies and interests were as diverse as he was. He was an avid traveler and loved flying, as well as playing tennis and working out. He was also a passionate reader and enjoyed immersing himself in good books. Perhaps most importantly, he had a deep appreciation for the love of God and family.

Eiric was homeschooled by his mother during his childhood, and this independence and self-reliance stayed with him throughout his life. He was a true original, always following his own path and living life on his own terms. Despite his many accomplishments and adventures, Eiric's greatest joy was often found in simple moments of connection with nature and the people around him. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and infectious enthusiasm. Eiric's passing has left an unfillable void, and he will be dearly missed.

Eiric is survived by: his mother, Donna Baardsen of Hart, Michigan, USA; father, Einar Baardsen of Norway; and his brothers in Norway: Christer Baardsen, Sindre Baardsen, Joachim Baardsen, and Andrea Baardsen.

Eiric's family will forever love and cherish the memories of his bright spirit, adventurous loving heart, and generous soul. The world was a better place, because he lived.
