Obituary

Eligha "Eli" Zachary Wooley, 35, of Kingsley, died Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.  He was born March 17, 1989, in Traverse City, the son of Jennifer (Bender) Gooden and Harmon Wooley.

Eli attended Kingsley High School where he was awarded an honorary diploma.  He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  He also enjoyed riding his bike and catching frogs.  Eli was a jokester who loved music, especially AC/DC; and he will be remembered for his happy personality.

Eli is survived by: his mother, Jennifer Gooden of Kent City; father, Harmon Wooley of Traverse City; siblings, Ivan Wooley of Kent City and Tana Clouse of Traverse City; paternal grandmother, Rosellia Wooley; nephews, Jude and Roman; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Eli was preceded in death by: his maternal grandmother, Judy Maybee; and his paternal grandfather, Harmon "Sonny" Wooley.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 17, 2025, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, 200 N. Brownson Avenue, Kingsley, Michigan  49649, with a time of receiving friends beginning at 10:00 AM.  Please wear your favorite band t-shirt or the color green.  A luncheon will follow at Kingsley United Methodist Church.
