Mrs. Elinor Marie Geyer, age 96, of Hesperia, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013. She was born April 9, 1916, in Weare Township to George and Julia (Kokx) Schaner. She married Herbert Geyer on October 4, 1933 in Manistee and he preceded her in death in 1997. Mrs. Geyer worked as a cook at Hume Home, Muskegon Catholic Central, Custer's Restaurant, and Aron's Restaurant. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Weare.

Elinor is survived by one daughter, Gloria Wood of St. Petersburg, Florida and three sons, Gil Geyer of St. Petersburg, Florida, Barton (Pat) Geyer of Hesperia, and Bennett "Ben" Geyer of Hesperia. Eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; her son, Herbert Geyer in 1996, and four brothers.

As Mrs. Geyer wished, there will be no services. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
