Elizabeth "Liz" Durling, 56, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly in her home on March 22, 2021.

Liz was born on August 15, 1964, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism. On April 9, 1994, she married Charles Durling. They moved to northern Michigan in 2003, and Liz was a long-time employee of the Village Market in Elk Rapids.

She enjoyed discovering new music, collecting perfume, watching movies, going on long walks with friends, and flowers, especially tulips.

Liz is loved and missed by her husband Charles and their three daughters, Claire Elizabeth, Katherine Grace, and Brooke Noel. She is also survived by her sister, Sarah.

The family has arranged a private service.
