Mrs. Ella E. Vanagtmael, age 75 of Hart, died Thursday, June 11, 2009. She was born in Hesperia on January 11, 1934 to Otto and Mary (McGill) Lattin. In 1952 at Hesperia, she married Robert L. Vanagtmael and he preceded her in death in 1999. Mrs. Vanagtmael graduated from Hesperia High School with class of 1952. She was employed as a secretary with the Dept. of Social Services until her retirement. She was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church and the Oceana Historical Society in Mears. Mrs. Vanagtmael is survived by her children, Kathy Lorenz of Hart, Mike (Cheryl) Vanagtmael of Hart, Ted (Tami) Vanagtmael of Spokane, WA, Greg (Julie) Vanagtmael of Hart, Tim (Barb) Vanagtmael, Robert (Alma) Vanagtmael of Hart; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Gary (Phyllis) Lattin of Hesperia, Ernie (Shirley Verschueren) Lattin of Walkerville. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert Vanagtmael in 1999. The Mass of the Resurrection will be offered Monday, June 15, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. from St. Gregory Catholic Church with Fr. Ronald Schneider presiding. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-8 P.M. at the Tate-King Funeral Home, where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:30 P.M. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Mason/Oceana County.
