Mrs. Elsie Leona Berry, age 96, of Montague, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014. She was born December 26, 1917, in Oceana County to James and Lillian (Fenton) Dodds. She married George Berry in Colfax Township on October 5, 1939 and he preceded her in death on March 5, 1994. Mrs. Berry was employed at Kayser Industries until her retirement at age sixty-three.

Elsie is survived by two sons, Bernard (Diane) Berry of New Mexico, and Gayle L. Berry of Hesperia; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Lorraine; two brothers, Clarence and Jim Dodds; and five sisters, Crystal Heistand, Dorothy Pease, Geraldine Sauser, Isabelle Sauser, and Betty Dodds.

The Funeral Service for Mrs. Berry will be Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM from the King Funeral Home in Hart with Pastor Jerry Selleck officiating. Interment will be in Hart Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday one hour before the service. Memorials may be given to the Activity Fund at the Oceana County Medical Care Facility, 701 East Main Street, Hart, MI 49420.
