Mr. Elwin L. Snow, age 71, died peacefully Monday, March 10, 2008 at home, surrounded by his family. He was born May 22, 1936 in Walkerville at home to Van and Helma (Brufladt) Snow. Elwin married the former Judy Rinard (of Holton) in Walkerville at his family home on September 30, 1967. He was employed as a store clerk and was a union member for 43 years at the Brunswick Corp. in Muskegon, until his retirement in June 1998. Elwin served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Hesperia American Legion. He also served on the Walkerville Fire Dept. Board Council. Elwin was a loving devoted husband and father, hard working, generous and honest man, with a great sense of humor. He loved and cherished his family and friends, his love was extraordinary. He will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched. Elwin had a way about him that made you want to be a better person. He will be greatly missed. Elwin is survived by his wife of 40 years, Judy; their children, Michael Snow of Walkerville, Michelle (William Jr.) Jannenga of Jension, Donna (Kevin) Roberson of Hesperia, Lisa (Gene) Way of Hesperia; seven grandchildren, Zack and Emily Jannenga, Kelvin and Mackenzie Roberson, Hunter, Tanner, and Mason Way; two brothers, Donald Snow of Walkerville, Richard (Joyce) Snow of Sterling Heights, MI., nephew and nieces, cousins, and life long best friend, Naz Jentilet of Hart. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Robert Snow, and sister in law, Audrey Snow. The Funeral Service to celebrate Mr. Snow's life will be held Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Walkerville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Worley officiating. Family and friends are welcomed to a luncheon immediately following the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the Walkerville Fire Department.
