Obituary

Emma Lou (Cobb) Pomrenke, 96, of Jackson, passed away Friday, February 14, 2020, in Whitehall, Michigan.  She was born October 20, 1923, the daughter of Arthur and Irene Cobb.

Emma married Howard Pomrenke in 1946. Together they enjoyed 46 years of marriage until his death in 1992. Emma was a member of Ganson Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking and staying active in her church. She was an upbeat, positive woman with a strong Christian faith. She will be deeply missed.

Emma is survived by: her children, Lois Woodworth, and Cathy (Dave) Wieczorek; grandchildren, Michelle (Nelson) Long, Jeff (former wife Sarah) Woodworth, Angela Hinz, and Nick (Julia) Wieczorek; great-grandchildren, Timothy, Jenna, Tanner, Gideon, Duncan, Archer, Lucas, Margaret; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; two sisters; and four brothers.

Cremation has taken place and the family gathered for a small private family service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ganson Street Baptist Church, Jackson, Michigan, or Hospice of Michigan (hom.org).
