Erik James Flood, age 26, of Grand Rapids and formerly of Pentwater, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010 in an auto accident. He was born April 2, 1984 in Shelby to Timothy and Barbara (Hass) Flood. He attended Pentwater Schools until moving to Kent County where he attended Comstock Park School until 2003. He worked for Grand Rapids Spring and Stamping in 2005 and was a truck driver who worked with his father driving truck. He loved the Lake Michigan shoreline and spent many days and summers there.
Erik is survived by his parents, Tim Flood of Grand Rapids and Barbara Hass of Pentwater; two sisters, Stefanie Flood (Steve) and Kerri Flood (A.J.) of Lake Odessa; grandmother, Maxine Flood of Grand Rapids; uncles, Gary (Karla) Flood of Memphis, TN., Michael (Lillian) Hass and Jon Hass of Marysville, WA; aunts, Donna (Pat) Anderson of Detroit and Alynn Mullis of Virginia; cousin, Karla Moder of North Carolina; and many other cousins and friends and was a soon to be uncle to two nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Mr. Flood will be held Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 1:00 P.M., at King Funeral Home in Hart with Rev. Ron Rickard officiating.
