Ernest Edwin Lattin, a lifelong resident of Oceana County, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021, at the age of 89. He was born October 11, 1931, in Hesperia, the son of Otto and Mary (McGill) Lattin.

Ernie proudly served his country in the US Army, was a veteran of the Korean War, and was a member of the Hart VFW Post 1329. Following his military service, he was employed by Gerber Products Company in Fremont, and other various jobs around the area. Ernie's hobbies included hunting, fishing, trapping, and going to flea markets.

Ernie is survived by: his sons, Scott (Jeannette) Lattin and Eric (Michelle) Lattin; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, Gary (Phyllis) Lattin.

Ernie was preceded in death by: his parents, Otto and Mary Lattin; son, Stephen Lattin; and sister, Ella VanAgtmael.

Graveside services and military honors will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 8, 2021, in West Hesperia Cemetery, 8613 Loop Road, Hesperia, MI 49421.
