Eugene Arther Short Sr., 76, of Twin Lake, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019. Eugene was born March 5, 1943, the son of Herbert and Carrie Short.

Eugene served his country in the U.S. Army. Following his service he met Marguerite Segar. They were married in 1966 and enjoyed 38 years of marriage until her death in 2004. Eugene was a hard-worker. He worked many jobs in his life but most notably at CWC Textron and Sealed Power as a CNC Operator. He enjoyed hunting, going to auctions, working on cars and logging. The most important thing in Eugene's life was always his family. He will be deeply missed.

Eugene is survived by: his children, Kathryn (Brian) Fessenden, Eugene Jr. (Melissa), William (Tami), and Michael (Jill); grandchildren, Daniel (Amanda), Sean, Andrew (Destiny), Kyle, Conner, Carter, Kassidy, Christopher (Lauren), Joshua (Kaley), Tiffany (Mykel), Kayla, Heidi, Dylan, Trenton (Katie Lynne), Ethan (Lizzie), and Everett; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Albert Short; sisters, Patricia Cooley, and Margaret (Jerry) Welch; brother-in-law, Dennis (Debbie) Wiggins; sisters-in-law, Darlene Short, and Lynn Wiggins; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by: his wife Marguerite; parents; brothers, Robert, Theodore, and George; sisters, Susan, and Charlotte; brothers-in-law, James Cooley, and William Cooley; and sisters-in-law, Wanda Short, and Diane Short.

A memorial service will be conducted 3:00PM Friday, August 23, 2019, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, 413 South Mears Ave., Whitehall. The family will receive guests 1 hour prior to the start of the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Eugene's family to help with final expenses.
