Mrs. Eva Mae Epplett Christopher, age 77, of Walkerville, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016, at home. She was born December 20, 1938, in Kent County, to Floyd and Francis (Hoskins) Bailey. She was employed at Strait Steel and owned the Sunrise Campground. Eva was a member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge in Florida. She was also a member of the Oceana Eagles. Eva is survived by one daughter: Kandy (David) Miller of Walkerville, MI and three sons: Thomas (Carol) Epplett of Holton, MI, Andrew Epplett of Walkerville, MI and Gregory (Susan) Epplett of Crystal Valley; one sister: Florence (Keith) Middleton of Belmont, MI and one brother: Glen Bailey of Comstock Park, MI; fourteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; daughter in law, Lois Epplett of Ravenna, MI; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Gilbert Epplett in 1990 and Howard Christopher in 2008. She was also preceded in death by her son Timothy Epplett in 2013, and by her sister, Francis Schultz. The Funeral Service for Mrs. Christopher will be Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at 2:00 pm at King Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Hart with Rev. Haley Voss officiating. Interment will be in the Colfax Township Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to the service at King Funeral Home and Cremation Services-Hart.
