Evangeline Annette Campbell, 80, of Montague, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at home with family. She was born July 11, 1938, in Davison, the daughter of Howard and Marion Johnson.

Evangeline married James Campbell on April 5, 1968. She was blessed with six children in her life. Evangeline was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, in Montague, where she belonged to the Altar Guild and Prayer Partners. She enjoyed camping, nature, and being with her family. She was a loving, caring, thoughtful person who will be deeply missed.

Evangeline is survived by: her husband, James; her children, John Burris, Cindy (James) Gertiser, Matthew (Denise) Burris, James (Denise) Campbell, Rebecca Campbell, and David Campbell; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Evangeline was preceded in death by: her parents; and her sibling, Garnet Johnson.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 27, 2019, at St. James Lutheran Church, in Montague, with Pastor John Brooks officiating. The family will receive guests from 10:00 until the time of service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Lutheran Church.
