Mrs. Fern D. Schader, age 92, died Friday November 2, 2007. She was born in Pentwater on January 5, 1915 to Wade and Cora (Hughson) Maynard. Mrs. Schader attended Pentwater Schools and was a homemaker. She was united in marriage with George Schader at Pentwater on September 12, 1936. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Pentwater Historical Society, Order of the Easter Star and the Pentwater VFW Post 6017 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Tom) Saunders Sr. of Pentwater; four grandchildren, Tom (Deborah) Saunders Jr. of Littleton, CO, Georgia (Steve) Miller of Miamisburg, OH, Teresa (Gene) Kokx of Hart and Tracey VanderZanden of Logansport, IN; ten great grandchildren; brother, John Maynard of St. Joseph, MI; sister in law, Mrs. Warren (Doris) Schader of Pentwater; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, two brothers, Lewis and Robert Maynard. The Funeral Service for Mrs. Schader will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Tate-King Funeral Home with the Rev. Harris Hoekwater officiating. Interment will be in the Pentwater Township Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 7-9 PM at the Tate-King Funeral Home. Memorials contributions may be given to the Crystal Valley Care Fund or to the Pentwater High School Band.
