IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frances "Frankie"
Ann Tomczak
October 4, 1946 – March 28, 2019
Frances "Frankie" Ann Tomczak, 72, a current resident of Ludington, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019, after a sudden and quick battle with brain cancer.
Frankie was born in Ludington on October 4, 1946, to the late Harold and Margaret Lemire. Frankie was also preceded in death by: her sister, Margie Hullinger; and step-mother, June Shinsky Lemire. Frankie was a graduate of St. Simon's class of 1964. She married Tom Tomczak of Ludington on Aug 26, 1967.
Frankie worked in many secretarial and administrative roles throughout her career, however all of us who knew her know that the title didn't matter; she was always in charge. The most important role in her life though was to be the matriarch of her family. She was forced to step up to help raise her brother and sister when they lost their mother at a young age. She along with Tom went on to raise her own family and was a great wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and dear friend.
Frankie is survived by: her husband Tom; daughter, Marie (Greg Hodges) Roussin; son, Paul (Chris) Tomczak; son, Mark (Tasha) Tomczak; brother, Jim Lemire; brother-in-law, Rod Hullinger; sister-in-law, Pat (John) Dean; sister-in-law, Nancy (Mike) Chojnacki; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 6, 2019, at St. Simon Catholic Church, in Ludington, with Father Wayne B. Wheeler presiding. Visitation will be held Friday, April 5, 2019, from 5-7 PM, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Pere Marquette Chapel, Ludington, and on Saturday from 1:00 PM until time of Mass at the church.
For those desiring to make a memorial donation in Frankie's name, the family would ask that you consider The Road to Recovery van used to transport patients back and forth for treatments. Please make check payable to The American Cancer Society, c/o Sue Lange, 306 N. Rowe St., Ludington MI 49431.
