Mrs. Pat Getchel, age 97, was called home on June 6, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born in Flint, October 28, 1925, to Blanche and James Cavanaugh, and married Earl Getchel on May 17, 1947. Pat was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Montague.

She is survived by: her children, Susan (Bob) VanHerweg, Julie Getchel (Jerry Williams), Ann (Dave) Cardon, Mike (Lori) Getchel, Tim (Kristi) Getchel, and Connie (Ron) Kosal; She was blessed with nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Earl; son, James Getchel; daughters, Frances Carter and Dawn Donnan; grandson, Christopher Cardon; brother, Robert Cavanaugh; and sisters, Eileen Gensheimer and Mary Rhodes.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 30, at St. James Catholic Church, 5149 Dowling Street, Montague, MI, with Fr. Peter Omogo presiding. Visitation will take place one hour prior to service. A private burial will take place at a later date.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
