Francis Augustus Darling, 87, of Mears, passed away, Wednesday, August 10, 2022. He was born August 17, 1934, the son of Russell and Crysta (Oles) Darling.

Frank was a farmer and truck driver for many years. He was very active and quite the daredevil. Frank enjoyed being outside, especially riding his snowmobiles, dirt bike, and horses in his early years. He also enjoyed working on automobiles and getting together with his entire family.

Francis is survived by: wife, Betty; children, Richard (Connie) Darling, Claudette (Bruce) Price, Annette (Jim) Kumzie, and Steven Darling; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

Francis was preceded in death by: his parents; daughter, Susan Marie; grandson, Joshua; brothers, Lewis and Larry; and sister, Jean Hoke.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 PM – 6 PM, Saturday, August 27, 2022, at the Darling Residence, 5497 W Fox Rd, Mears, MI 49436.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
