Mr. Francis William "Frank" Wieber, age 87, of Hart, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013. He was born February 28, 1926, in Hart to Joseph and Helen (Hale) Wieber. He graduated from Hart High School in the Class of 1944. He married Jewel Arlene Thaler on August 24, 1944 in Hart, and they were married sixty-five years before her passing on December 30, 2009. Frank was employed as a foreman at Vroom Cold Storage until his retirement in 1972, and then worked as a custodian at Hart High School for fourteen years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mr. Wieber volunteered with the Hart Area Fire Department and 4-H club; he served as a member of both the Hart Public School Board and the zoning board.

Francis is survived by two daughters, Judy (Roger) Mitchell of Big Rapids and Janis (Sam) Bucher of Fountain; two sons, Frank (Diane) Wieber of Jackson and Fred (Audrey) Wieber of Plainwell; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lorrena VanDenHeuval of Hart. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jewel Wieber, and his sister, Phyllis Loughmiller.

The Funeral Service for Mr. Wieber will be Friday, December 20, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at King Funeral Home in Hart. Interment will be in Hart Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at King Funeral Home. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Alzheimer's Foundation West Shore Region, 1740 Village Drive Ste. 336, Muskegon, MI 49442.
