Obituary

Frank J. Anderson, 76, of Whitehall, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Brookhaven Medical Care Facility in Muskegon. Frank was born February 26, 1940 in Ludington to Frank and Mable Anderson.

He graduated from Ludington High School in 1958. Frank went on to join the United States Air Force. After his service to our country, Frank earned his associate's degree at Ferris State University. On October 22, 1960 Frank married Elaine Boals in Ludington.

Frank worked many years as a Tool & Die Maker and retired from Howmet in 2002. After his retirement Frank enjoyed traveling, from Florida, to Europe, to Alaska with his family and his wife, Elaine. He was an avid fisherman especially for walleye, and enjoyed spending time in his yard tending to the lawn and garden. Frank also was skilled at wood working and designed and built all of the custom booths at Pekadill's. Frank and Elaine were volunteers with Habitat for Humanity across the United States, and helped build several houses. Often after dinner Frank and his boys would grab their baseball mitts and play catch as Frank loved baseball. Most important to Frank was spending time with his family and being in the company of his dog, Daisy.

Frank is the beloved husband of Elaine married 56 years. Loving father of Eric (Kim) Anderson, Jim Anderson, and Sue (John) Dillivan. Loved grandfather of Jeffrey (Maleena) Anderson, Marie Dillivan, Jack Dillivan, Brandon Anderson, and Heather Anderson. Cherished great-grandfather of Areia Anderson. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. Frank was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mable; his siblings, Ellsworth Anderson, Ralph Anderson, Phyllis Thorington, Arlene Futrell, Barbara Medlin, Helen Mitchell, and Russell Anderson.
