Frank Warndeen Grubb II, 49, of Traverse City, died Monday, July 24, 2023, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.  He was born November 24, 1973, in Louden County, Virginia, the son of Frank "Dean" Grubb and Frances Sutton Pierce.

Frank was a voracious reader.  He loved to learn, especially about scientific and medical matters, making him the "guy with all the answers."  He was a practical joker with a big and infectious laugh and a great sense of humor. He was a leftie who played the guitar, and he was also a good (but sometimes scary) driver.  Frank will be remembered as a good person and friend you could count on when you needed someone.

Frank is survived by: his sisters, Melissa Berens of Frankfort, Melanie (Kevin) Ockert of Kingsley, and Rebecca Duffy of Buchanan; nieces and nephews, Brianna Berens, Warren (Erica) Niewiadonski, and James "JR" Pierce; great-nieces and nephews LJ Pierce III, Amanda Pierce, and Austin Niewiadonski; uncle, Warren (Paula) Sutton; and stepfather, James Pierce.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell-Kingsley Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until time of services at the funeral home.
