1948 in Grand Haven, Michigan.
Frank was a lover of life and a jolly spirited man and is now a Silent Key for the Amateur Radio community. Frank was passionate about Karate and electronics as well as magic tricks. He was a 9
th
Dan, Black Belt, and Karate Instructor for the Muskegon Karate Association and spoke fluent Japanese. Frank was a business owner (Thomas Electronics and Engineering) and prior to owning his own business, he designed, drafted, constructed, tested, and maintained the RF in-house cable system and Microwave Broadcast Link from Muskegon Community College to the Muskegon Cable System. He was also a magician, Amateur Radio Operator (KD8DAH), and drew cartoons to pass time. He was a resilient fighter who always had a positive attitude despite having cerebral palsy all his life.
Frank Edwin Thomas will be remembered for his tenacity, perseverance, and humorous personality. He will be deeply missed.
Frank is survived by: his children Meghan (David Brakefield) and Josh (Patricia) Thomas; grandchildren, Javier Laredo and Savannah Thomas; sister, Linda (Frank Rubin); and brother Roger (Pam) Thomas.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Thomas and Bessie Jones.
Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Friday, June 16

2017, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, 413 S. Mears Ave. Whitehall, MI, 49461, with Pastor Jerry Depoy officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 PM until time of services.
