IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frederick Joseph
Roeill
February 8, 1944 – October 1, 2022
Frederick Joseph Roeill Jr., 78, of Buckley, and formerly of Long Island, New York, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 1, 2022. Fred was born on February 8, 1944, the beloved only child of Frederick and Loretta (Poignant) Roeill.
In his youth, Frederick enjoyed the outdoors, especially racing pigeons on Long Island with his father, and together they won many awards. Fred also co-owned a tropical fish store with his father in Oceanside, New York.
On December 19, 1971, Frederick married his lifelong love and soulmate, Laura Hargreaves. Together they shared 51 years of marriage and raised four beautiful daughters. In 1991, Frederick and his family relocated to Buckley from Long Island. There, Fred worked in sales and retail management to provide for his cherished family. Fred had a passion for gardening and teaching his children and grandchildren all that he knew.
He enjoyed watching the birds at his feeder, especially the hummingbirds. Fred also enjoyed caring for his array of tropical and freshwater fish tanks through the years. The only things he loved more, was his family, and it showed.
Frederick was preceded in death by: his parents, Frederick and Loretta; his father-in-law, Robert; his mother-in-law, Donna, who he always had a special place for in his heart; his sister-in-law, Ann Poli; and three brothers-in-law, Robert "Bob" Poli, Robert "Bobby" Hargreaves, and Stephen Hargreaves.
Frederick is survived by: his loving wife, Laura; his four daughters, Theresa Roeill, Ann Marie (Brian) Foley, Tina (Ben) Jackson, and Amy (Michael) Lewis-Muloin; his eight grandchildren, Brooke, Kyle, Anna, Tegan, Maxwell, Mason, Jackson, and Griffin; sister-in-law, Beatrice (Kent) Commer; and many beloved nieces and nephews with whom he shared many wonderful memories.
