Gary Lee Gould, 72, of Ludington, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Poppen Hospice Residence, in Muskegon, with his family by his side. He was born January 23, 1946, in Detroit, the son of Elmer and Mary (Lisk) Gould.

Gary served in the US Air Force 94 ^th Fighter Intercept Squadron as a crew chief and mechanic. He was a member of the Edwin H. Ewing American Legion Post 76 in Ludington.

Gary owned and operated Ludington Carpet Cleaning for 35 years. In addition, he was a principle in National Services Investments Inc. where together with his wife they managed the NSI Dry Cleaners of Ludington until retiring in 2008.  An avid hunter and golfer, Gary enjoyed being outdoors and staying busy. Gary loved spending time with his friends, especially his cohort on special projects, Pardner Harmon, hunting friends Charlie and Butch Jansen and chasing golf balls with Dick Furstenberg. But the most important part of his life was his family, especially his granddaughters.  A man of many talents, Gary could do just about anything including helping his sons build their homes. Always willing to help where needed.  Gary recently joined St. Simon Catholic Church in Ludington.

Gary will be sadly missed by his wife, Marsha; his sons, Mike (Holly) of Ludington and Jason of Wyoming, MI; 3 granddaughters, Samantha, Megan and Taylor; cousins, Rick Jennette of Sarasota, FL, Curtis (Karen) Jennette of Bingham Farms, MI, and Pamela Jennette of Bradenton, FL; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws that he enjoyed spending time with.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 22, 2018, at St. Simon Catholic Church, in Ludington, with Father Wayne B. Wheeler presiding.  Interment will be in Victory Township Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday, September 21, 2018 from 6-8 PM, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, 309 S. Washington Avenue, and Saturday, at St. Simon Catholic Church from 1:00 PM until time of Mass.
