Gary Salerno, 71, of Pentwater,  passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday, July 16, 2025.  Gary was briefly in the care of Harbor Hospice and surrounded by his son, Mike, and brother, Mark at the time of his death.

Gary was born April 26, 1954, in Yonkers, New York.  His family relocated to Sarasota, Florida in his early childhood years.  Gary is a graduate of Sarasota High School.  Gary moved to Michigan in 1985.  He was a longtime employee of Alexander-Rye Funeral Home in Ludington until his retirement.

Gary is survived by: his son, Michael (Angela) Salerno; daughter, Stacy Wise; grandchildren, Landon, Cole and Wyatt Salerno, and Christian Wise; his brother, Mark (Debbie) Salerno; niece, Alyssa Salerno; nephew, Mark Salerno; and his sister, Lisa Salerno;  Gary also leaves behind several close family members and dear friends.

Gary was preceded in death by: his parents, Dominick and Patricia Salerno; his daughter, Alycia; friend and colleague, Bob Alexander; and his beloved pets.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Lakeview Cemetery, in Ludington, with Father Mick Shriver officiating.
