Gene Alan Herrygers, 62, of Mears, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021. He was born July 7, 1959, in Hart, the son of Herbert and Janet (Skinner) Herrygers.

Gene was a graduate of Hart High School, Class of 1977, and furthered his education at Michigan State University. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Gene is survived by: his father, Herbert Herrygers; brothers, Michael (Lonna) Herrygers and Steven (Kimberly) Herrygers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gene was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Herrygers, on October 3, 2013.

In accordance with Gene's wishes, cremation has taken place and he will be privately laid to rest in Hart Cemetery.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
