George L Englehart, 85, of Montague, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at The Leila and Cyprus Poppen Hospice Residence in Muskegon. He was born February 23, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of George and Ruth.

George enjoyed tinkering in his garage and fishing, but most important to him was spending time with his family.

On September 24, 1952 George married Betty Ann Treleaven in Chicago, Illinois, who survives him. George is the loving father of Chuck (Sandra), Debbie (Ty) Traverse, Donna Postillon, Mary Todd, Joanna Carty, Barbara (Steven) Steinbach, and Diane Bennett. Beloved grandfather of Jacklyn (Ben) Reider, Patrick (Mandy) Traverse, D.J. & Nick Glaspie, Sandra (Chris) Van Blargan, Tommy & Sam Steinbach, Hallie (Michael) Dingman, and Taylor & Colin Bennett. Dear great-grandfather of Brody, Madison, and Gabby Dietz, Tristen Traverse, Addison Dingman, Gavin Steinbach, Violet & Monroe Glaspie, Jaxon Van Blargan, and Liam Gilland. Loved brother of Robert (Leda) Englehart. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruth.

Cremation has taken place, and no services will be held.
